The Great Karoo to Coast Motorcycle Adventure Tour - 11 Days
The Great Karoo to Coast Motorcycle Adventure Tour is an exhilarating adventure- and gravel travel ride. The tour departs from Cape Town (alternatively Stellenbosch) and soon ascends the magnificent Franschoek Pass. Once we are in the countryside, we will endeavour to avoid asphalt roads as far as possible. Our route winds through the beautiful country roads and mountain passes of the Klein (Small) and Groot (Great) Karoo and is sheer adventure riding pleasure.
Some of the gravel highlights of the tour are the Rooiberg Pass, Swartberg Meander, Prince Alfred Pass, the ride through the Knysna Forest, the Baviaanskloof (Baboon Gorge) with its special valleys, tucked away between mountains with steep passes, water crossings and narrow gravel roads set in stunning surrounds.
Then there is the magic of riding the historic "Swartberg Pass" and detour into the Gamkaskloof, better known as the "Hell". The "Hell" will capture your soul and it will be difficult to escape its allure. The Great Karoo and Cedarberg rides that follow with their unique landscapes and challenges has a magic of its own....
